Claim Substantiation

Our claims may SEEM “too good to be true”
But what if they ARE true ... and also just happen
to be among the best kept secrets on the planet?

But what if they ARE true ... and also just happen to be among the best kept secrets on the planet.

Scroll down and check out
the facts for yourself ...
Some marketing consultants, advisors or practitioners have a reputation for charging a fortune and delivering very little, or for making misleading or inflated claims that may not be true or that they cannot substantiate.

That is NOT the case with Marketing Wizdom.

Yes, we make some apparently very impressive claims, so some people, perhaps understandably, think they must be too good to be true. But due to the unique way we work, they ARE all true. And all of them can be substantiated!
This page gives you irrefutable proof ...
It all started with a complaint from the Advertising Standards Authority ...
This idea for this page came about after we were contacted by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), the UK's independent advertising regulator. They’d received a complaint that challenged several of our claims as being potentially misleading. The complainant couldn’t believe that:
  • Robert Clay had “written 40 books.”
  • We had taken “business after business from good to great and from 6 figures to £ millions and beyond.”
  • We had helped businesses “go from start-up to being sold for £ tens to hundreds of millions.”
  • “Year after year entrepreneurs we’ve worked with have won the top national awards in their industry.”
The complainant asked the ASA to investigate these claims. However, because we ONLY make claims if we can provide irrefutable proof, we were able to substantiate everything and provide the ASA with the specific information they requested less than two hours after they first contacted us.

On double checking our records we also established that most of our claims were now out of date and, if anything, most were actually UNDERSTATED, often to a significant degree. For example: we claimed 40 books written when it was actually 62.

The ASA were satisfied with the all the substantiation and information provided. After investigation, the complaints were all resolved in our favour. And the file was closed.

We then updated our claims to reflect the real numbers achieved ... and for the sake of transparency decided to create this page, as further evidence, for anyone else who might wonder whether our claims really ARE too good to be true.

And by the way clients repeatedly tell us that we ARE one of the best kept secrets on the planet and until our recent switch from offline to online delivery we have never advertised ... our business came almost entirely by word of mouth.

So check out the following facts for yourself ...
Part 1: Books Written
The case of the 40 books written claim ...
This claim actually turned out to be a significant under-statement.

Frankly we weren't keeping count of the number of books written by Robert, but we knew it was AT LEAST 40. So we gathered them all together and counted them. It turned out that he’d actually written 62 books relating to subject matter covered by Marketing Wizdom.

And that number does NOT include several more books he wrote relating to his previous businesses. There are numerous clients who can attest to having entire shelves weighed down with all these books.

The ASA were informed of the real number, and they were given all the titles plus an example of one of these books. They were also invited to inspect all of the books for themselves as well as the thousands of pages of source material, working notes, mind maps, drafts and manuscripts used to create every book.

The ASA were satisfied with the all the substantiation and information we provided on the number of books written. The complaint was resolved in our favour. And the file was closed.

For the sake of accuracy, we subsequently updated the claim of 40 books written to the actual number of 62.
Here are the 62 books ACTUALLY written ...
This is a list of the latest versions of the books written by Robert Clay, in alphabetical order.

N.B. These books were all written to support the clients Robert Was mentoring. Until now they were only available to those clients. While they are NOT available for general consumption, much of their content WILL be used as the basis for future online courses.

Part 2: Financial growth and performance
The case of taking business after business “from 6 figures to millions and beyond” ...
The complainant asked the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) to investigate whether we could substantiate our apparently impressive claims regarding the financial growth and performance of businesses we’d advised.

The complainant specifically challenged two claims: 1) that the “Quantum Leap process has taken business after business from good to great and from 6 figures to £ millions and beyond.” 2) whether we had really helped businesses “go from start-up to being sold for £ tens to hundreds of millions.”

The ASA were informed that MANY of the hundreds of clients we’ve advised went on to achieve the claimed results. In fact full documentation is held on file for around 500 such clients, including, in all cases a 3-400 page bespoke strategy plan.

Those plans show them EXACTLY how to achieve such results, based on their own priorities and using their own data, numbers and judgement. Clients that implement those plans often not only achieve the results indicated, but in many cases do even better. And in some cases they do MUCH better.

We provided the ASA with links to case study and testimonial videos as well as to newspaper and magazine articles to fully validate those claims including an example of a spare-bedroom start-up business founded with £3,000 that was eventually sold for £162 million. They were also invited to inspect all of the documentation and strategy plans we keep on file.

The ASA were satisfied that our financial growth and performance claims were NOT misleading, could be substantiated and didn't refer to isolated or one-off situations. Once again the complaint was resolved in our favour and the file was closed.
These clients were all part of a Marketing Wizdom mentoring program
Average “before and after” projected results from Quantum Leap clients
Following on from the complaint about our financial growth and performance claims, we gathered together and analysed all the data from 442 clients who’d been through our process.

From this it was evident that the process was responsible for quietly generating a projected £2.78 billion in additional revenues for the 442 clients analysed, based on combining just the top 8 of the 62 strategies we taught them, as summarised below.
All figures used were recorded in the special Quantum Leap software by the clients themselves, based on their own priorities, and using their own data and numbers, as they progressed through the program. Full documentation is held on file for around 500 clients to support the numbers above, and can be examined by arrangement.

The many video testimonials and case studies featured elsewhere on this site provide further insights into the impact of this process and the results achieved by numerous clients. In addition, hundreds of written testimonials are held on file that, again, can be examined by arrangement.
So how DO our clients achieve such amazing results?
The projected results shown above didn’t just happen by chance. They can be attributed to a unique process for working with clients, now 18 years in the making, that has consistently produced extraordinary results.

It starts with the one thing that’s always missing elsewhere — a deep end-to-end education at the outset of the relationship. More than just an education, it uses special bespoke software to capture your thoughts, ideas and lightbulb moments. As you go through this process you start to make connections between many previously disconnected strategies and start to see ways to combine and align them to multiply your results.

Using special tools built-in to the software you can assess the impact of each of strategy, using your own data, numbers, experience and judgment. As you progress through the process you are constantly creating in the background your own bespoke 3-400 page blueprint that sets out in detail everything you need to do to transform your results. Strategies are all ranked in priority order and tailored to who you are, your specific business, your personal preferences, your strengths and weaknesses and the point you’ve reached on your business journey.

By the end of the process you’ll have unlocked the mysteries of entrepreneurial marketing. You know what you need to do first, what you need to do next, and so on, to ensure you get the best possible results for the least amount of time, effort, manpower, money and risk.

You’ll understand how you can achieve previously unthinkable business results, without guesswork and uncertainty … and you’ll have the only fully quantified end-to-end understanding of dozens of low-risk/high-return strategies that combine, align and work together to multiply your results.

Once empowered by this know-how, many clients connect all the dots that had never been connected before, and know for sure how THEY can achieve previously unimaginable results.
Part 3: Awards won by clients (incomplete list)
The final complaint received by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) challenged our claim that “Year after year entrepreneurs we’ve worked with have won the top national awards in their industry.”

To substantiate that claim they requested details of the awards won, the awarding bodies and the years they were won.

Although we weren’t specifically tracking all awards won by our clients after advising them, or in which they were finalists, we gave the ASA links to some of the case studies, testimonial videos and websites we had to hand that detailed and confirmed many of the awards our clients had won, as well as to newspaper and magazine articles that validated those claims.

The ASA were satisfied with the substantiation and information we provided. The complaint was resolved in our favour, and the file was closed.

We’ve since started tracking the awards won by clients. While what follows is an incomplete list, it makes the point.
